The gangmaster who caused the deaths of 21 Chinese cockle pickers at Morecambe Bay has been jailed for 14 years at Preston Crown Court.
As Workplace Law previously reported Lin Liang Ren was convicted of 21 counts of manslaughter last Friday after a seven-month trial. The jury decided that Liang Ren was driven by greed, and his criminal negligence caused the tragedy.
