Companies should ensure that they plan effectively for vehicle movements around construction sites and that they are fit for use, the HSE has warned, after an employee was crushed by heavy construction plant.

Magistrates in Ikeston heard how Bernard Anthony Place was crushed by the heavy machinery as it reversed over him while he was working on the construction of an additional parking area at Toyota's Burnaston site in August 2003.
