HSE ‘wake up call’ for asbestos removal industry

The HSE has called its second special leadership summit to ask the asbestos removal industry to make further improvements in reducing ill-health caused by work with asbestos.

Any significant work with asbestos insulation, asbestos coatings and asbestos insulating board is subject to the Asbestos Licensing Regulations 1983. Organisations that carry out this type of work must hold a current licence granted by the HSE.
