In April 2006, major changes to the Building Regulations and supporting Approved Documents will come into force. The aim of these changes is to reduce carbon emissions from buildings and implement the EU's Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
Changes to part F and Part L of the building regs will enact articles 3-6 the EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), which is also designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy performance.
