New research supports the theory that chronic stress at work is a major risk factor in the development of heart disease and diabetes.
A study published by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) online states that it "provides new evidence for the biological plausibility of the link between work stress and heart disease".
Writing in the BMJ, researchers claim that the biological processes behind the link between stress at work and heart disease has previously been unclear.
