The Northern Ireland High Court has reviewed the provisions of the Working Time Regulations in respect of night workers. In the regulations a "night worker" is a worker who works for three hours at night "as a normal course". The court took a relaxed view of this provision in saying that a "normal course" involves little more than a "regular feature" of employment.
