Two workers have become the first in Scotland to use new European legal guidelines to win a landmark racial discrimination battle against Glasgow City Council.
Clarence Bvunzai, a Zimbabwean, and Kuldip Dhesi, who is of Indian origin, both failed to be appointed to a job for which they had applied.
In separate cases, they took the council to an employment tribunal, the tribunals found in their favour, but in each case an appeal tribunal overturned the decision.
