An employment tribunal has ruled against the historic St Andrews Links Trust golf club in Fife, in an unfair dismissal case.
Eddie McDonald, former chief players' assistant and golf caddy was sacked for gross misconduct after allegations of abusing the ballot system at the course.
The ET found the trust failed to adopt the correct procedures during a series of hearings which determined that Mr McDonald should be dismissed.
