Most UK companies believe that employment law is weighted against businesses and in favour of employees, according the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Their research, Small Business Recruitment and Retention Survey, suggests 79% of firms believe the balance between employee and employer rights is unfair. 73% are convinced that the law is too harsh on employers.
