Companies are underestimating the consequences (and costs) of email misuse in the workplace. According to a survey published by an email management company, Cryoserver Ltd, many employees use their work email just as they do their personal email, leaving their employers potentially liable for heavy fines or prosecution.
The survey of 100 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in the UK suggests:
