The Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1999 (COMAH 1999) are aimed at preventing major accidents and apply to industrial sites storing dangerous substances above certain thresholds. From 30 June 2005 an amendment to COMAH 1999 will change the threshold and classifications of dangerous substances to which COMAH applies.
