Dumfries firm Home Burgess Ltd was fined £10,000 at Stranraer Sheriff Court yesterday following the death of a 39-year-old workman at a Stanraer factory in March last year.
Home Burgess Ltd pled guilty to a charge under section 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 that they failed to provide William Johnstone of Dumfries and others with information, instruction, training or supervision in relation to a welding process using inert argon gas and failed to assess the experience and c...
