Pensions Minister Malcolm Wicks yesterday published Opportunity Age - Meeting the challenges of ageing in the 21st century - a paper looking at the issues facing British society as people live longer, healthier lives.
He revealed that statistics show that by 2007 there will be more people over state pension age than under 16.
The paper deals with the issue of enabling workers to stay in employment for longer. Wicks said:
