More people in their late teens are affected by age discrimination than those in their 50s, according to new research carried out by the Employers Forum on Age (EFA), which reveals unexpected new truths about every age group at work.
The research, Age at Work, also found that:
Young people are denied interesting and challenging jobs, which is why they move on frequently;
Women's promotion prospects suffer from their 20s onwards, even before they have children;
