£17,000 compensation after new employer refuses to transfer maternity-leave manager

The administration manager at Ashgrove Residential Home has been awarded £17,000 compensation after the nursing home's new owner refused to acknowledge her employment, reports the Glasgow Evening Times.

Sharon Johnston was previously employed by her mother and stepfather at Ashgrove Residential Home, but was on maternity leave when the establishment changed hands.
