Metropolitan Police Service -v- Shoebridge concerns an employer’s liability for post-termination discrimination.

During his employment with the Metropolitan Police, Mr Shoebridge had successfully raised claims of sex discrimination. He eventually left the police and went to work for Sky News Television. Some 14 months after he left, his engagement with Sky was terminated and he later found out that something had been said about him to Sky by the police. He sued the police for victimisation...
