A Sheffield steelworker has been awarded £50,000 compensation after his thumb was sliced off in a razor-blade making machine.
Martyn Bradwell, aged 51, was forced to retire from his job at the Avesta steel plant in Stocksbridge, where he had worked since he was 16, because he could no longer grip properly. The father-of-two used to be left-handed, but had to teach himself to be right-handed after losing his left thumb.
