The outcome of the annual review of compensation limits in employment rights cases has been announced. For dismissals on or after 1 February 2005 the weekly pay limit (e.g. for statutory redundancy pay) will be increased to £280 (currently £270) and the limit to compensation for unfair dismissal will be increased to £56,800 (currently £55,000). There are corresponding increases to other limits.
