Cymru Country Chickens has been fined £7,000 and ordered to pay £1,900 costs, after a factory workers was left disabled when is arm was mangled in a conveyor belt. The decision was reported by the north Wales Daily Post.
David Owen worked as a night cleaner at the factory for just two weeks. He was cleaning equipment when his clothing became trapped into the cogs, dragging his arm into the dangerous machinery. The HSE told the court that there had been no guard, and not enough safety train... (48 more words)
