The Scottish Executive has published the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Bill, which contains the eagerly awaited details for the proposed ban on smoking in public places in Scotland.
The key points are as follows:
Smoking would be banned in enclosed public spaces in Scotland to which the public has access, including workplaces, private members' clubs, pubs, hospitals, and schools.
Prison cells, hotel rooms and nursing homes would be exempt).
