Coventry-based manufacturer Sofedit UK has been fined a total of £105,000 after a forklift truck knocked over bins which crushed a worker back in April 2002.
The firm was fined £70,000 under the Health and Safety Act 1974 for failing to protect the health and safety of its employees, and a further £35,000 under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 for failing to carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments.
