Farming company E.W. Pepper Ltd has been fined £20,000 and ordered to pay £11,501.50 in costs following the death of a worker in a forklift truck accident. The HSE prosecution was brought against the company under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Section 2(1), for failure to protect the safety of its employees - the Hertfordshire company pleaded guilty.
