Four door supervisors have become the first people to be prosecuted under the Private Security Industry Act 2001 for operating without licenses from the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
The four men appeared at Newport Magistrates Court on the Isle of Wight in October charged under section 3 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (conduct prohibited without a licence). The men were found guilty and were given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs.
