Roofing company fined £10,500 for illegal asbestos disposal

A & F Roofing Specialists Ltd has been fined £10,500 for illegally disposing of asbestos waste after carrying out work at a site near Hungerford.

Maidenhead Magistrates' Court heard how the asbestos was found while Environment Agency officers were carrying out enquiries into a waste transfer station in Finchamstead in June this year. While at the site officers found a 35 cubic metre bin full of asbestos, some of which had been brought to the site by A & F Roofing Specialists.
