Kronospan Limited has been fined a total of £60,000 after pleading guilty to four charges relating to the discharge of fuel oil from its plant at Chirk into the Afon Bradley on 1 July 2003. The company also pleaded guilty to another four charges relating to the contravention of conditions of its consent to discharge effluent into the river, which is a tributary of the Dee.
