First Engineering has been fined £200,000 after a rail worker was crushed to death when a two-tonne metal sleeper fell from a crane, Architects' Journal reports.
Alexander Somerville, 55, was killed as he was helping a colleague unload a lorry at First Engineering's site in Kelvinhaugh Street near Finnieston.
Architects' Journal reports that the company admitted health and safety breaches.
