Poor indoor air quality is affecting the productivity of office workers, researchers have found.
Experts from the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy measured how sick building syndrome - a problem ranging from sore eyes and throat, to chest problems and flu-like symptoms - could be damaging workers' performance.
They found typing and reading speeds in offices with poor air quality were reduced by up to 9%, the equivalent loss of 4.5 hours in an average 48-hour working wee... (103 more words)
