A London policeman has been suspended after Scotland Yard discovered that he had joined the force despite having several convictions, The Times reports.
The 24-year-old officer is reported to be facing dismissal and prosecution for lying about his criminal background, which includes a string of convictions such as assault, burglary and car crime.
