Proposals for new controls aimed at reducing the energy consumption of new buildings by 25% and implementing the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive may benefit workplaces which are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), which announced the proposals last week, is seeking views on the shake-up of building regulations as part of a cross-Government drive to improve energy efficient standards and tackle climate change.
