Employers Will Face a Surge of Stress Claims under New Disability Protection, caution Lawyers

Following the announcement that, under the Disability Discrimination Bill, which comes into force in 2006, protection will extend to bring a larger number of people with mental illnesses within the definition of 'disability', lawyers have expressed concerns that employees with conditions such as stress may be able to qualify as disabled.
