The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) has published an online consultative document containing proposals to implement an EC Directive that amends the scope of a major accident hazards directive known as the Seveso II Directive.
Seveso II aims to prevent, or limit the consequences of, major accidents near establishments that hold or use specific dangerous substances. It is implemented in the UK through the Control of Major Accidents Hazards (COMAH) Regulations.
