Three workers died in a slurry tank yesterday, after one slipped in and the others tried to rescue him, the Guardian reports today.
HSE inspectors and police were called to the wheatfield in Norfolk where the men had been working for Thetford-based employer Enviro-Waste.
One of the men is reported to have opened the hatch of the steel tank to check the slurry and, having been overcome by fumes, fell through the narrow opening into the container. Three of his colleagues then climbed into the... (62 more words)
