The DTI guidance on the dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures, which come into force on 1 October 2004, has now been published [as reported by Workplace Law Network, 20 May 2004]. The guidance makes it clear that even large employers with sophisticated disciplinary and grievance procedures will be affected by many aspects of the new procedures. Employers who considered the new procedures as only relevant to 'small' employers will have to think again.
