Record HSE Fine for Ladbroke Grove Crash

Thames Trains has been handed a record fine of £2m – the largest in HSE case history – for their health and safety failures arising out of the Ladbroke Grove rail crash in October 1999. Thirty-one people died in the crash between the two commuter trains and several hundred more were injured, some very seriously.
