The Code of Practice on access to goods, facilities, services and premises states that one of the most important general approaches to making reasonable adjustment is disability awareness training for customer-facing staff. All staff should be made aware - the Code goes on to say - that it is unlawful to discriminate against disabled people.
Disability awareness training is proving an increasingly popular and successful way of complying with your duties by the October deadline.
