The range of the Climate Change Agreements scheme is being extended, subject to EU State Aids approval. A wider range of energy-intensive businesses (those whose energy costs are at least 3 per cent of their production value) will be eligible to enter into Climate Change Agreements under which their Climate Change Levy (CCL) costs can be reduced by 80 per cent in exchange for their agreement to reduce emissions and/or energy use.
