In the week police made arrests on suspicion of manslaughter relating to the drowning deaths of 19 Chinese migrant cockle pickers, three other cases have resulted in employers facing manslaughter charges:
Virendra Kotak was boss of the Leicester building site where two-year-old Declan Elliott was crushed by concrete slabs while playing. A 41-year-old man, who has not been named, has also been charged with manslaughter.
