Small businesses may suffer as a result of an increase in the minimum and maximum awards given at employment tribunals, according to recent reports.
The new rise in rates took place on Sunday 1 February, bringing the cost of cases for unfair dismissal to an estimated £20m each year (see article 'Tribunal Compensation Limits Updated and Increased').
