Changes to the Equal Pay Act mean that employees will now be able to claim compensation for up to six years’ worth of unequal pay.
The new rules, which came into force at the weekend, have extended the maximum period for which a worker can claim compensation, from two years to six years. The previous time limit on making a claim within six months of leaving a job has also been extended.
