On 14 July 2003 two Nottingham companies pleaded guilty at Nottingham Magistrates to a total of three charges relating to them breaking the law governing the correct handling and disposal of asbestos.
Charges
The Environment Agency brought two charges against Leec (Developments) Limited under section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 for permitting the deposit of asbestos guttering and sheets and tyres, and the keeping of such waste on land without a Waste Management Licence.
