The JCT has just launched a new Major Project Form of Contract (MPF) which, it is anticipated, will - in due course - replace the traditional JCT With Contractor's Design Form of Contract (WCD) on major design and build projects.The MPF represents a significant leap forward in thinking compared with the WCD. It is short and concise (14,500 words instead of the 85,000 words of WCD). It is clearly and - all in all - sensibly drafted. It more closely resembles current market practice than the WC...
