In its new paper, 'Action on Occupational Pensions', the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has given its long-awaited response to the consultation on extending the protection of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 (TUPE) to occupational pensions.
It is worth remembering the rights of a transferring employee under a so-called group personal pension plan are probably covered by the automatic provisions of TUPE already.
The DWP says:
