Government Policy Objectives
This Act, which comes into force on 13 October 2003, signals the start of a process by which the Government intends, over the medium term, to secure that:
- any form of disposal or grant of rights in registered land will have to be registered unless there are good reasons for not doing so;
- unregistered interests in land to which registered holders take subject will be significantly reduced by increasing the requirement to register them or give notice of them ... (1279 more words)
