The EU Directive on the energy performance of buildings (2002/91/EC) is now in force in the UK. The objective of the Directive is to improve the performance of the energy performance of the buildings within the EU Community.
Member States have until January 2006 to ensure that certificates of
energy performance are made available when buildings are constructed,
