A new equal pay questionnaire will be introduced with the Employment Act
2002, coming into force next month. It is expected to assist women in
claiming the same level of pay and benefits as men if their jobs are
comparable.
Currently, the Equal Pay Act 1970 allows a complainant (often a women) to
claim for equal pay and terms and conditions of a comparator (usually a
