The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) is reporting the publication of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and its sister Directive, the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (ROHS) in the Official journal of the European Union. The WEEE Directive will therefore need to be implemented by Member States by the 13 August 2004.
