One of the hottest topics for debate on Workplacelaw in recent months has been the legitamacy of dress codes. One particular challenge has now attracted national media interest.
In this case, Matthew Thompson has taken his employer (Jobcentre Plus) to a Tribunal, claiming that the organisation's dress code - which requires him to wear a shirt and tie - amounts to sex discrimination.
