On 5 February 2003, an indictment was served upon Transco plc, the company responsible for the gas distribution network, following a charge of culpable homicide [as previously reported on the Network]. Transco faces charges following the deaths of a family of four in a gas explosion in Larkhall in December 1999. The Crown Office has confirmed that the case will proceed to trial in the High Court on 7 March 2003.
