The overwhelming majority of private and public sector employers believe that the UK's opt-out from the 48-hour week should continue, according to new survey results from the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and Personnel Today magazine. Over three-quarters (78%) of the 700 employers who responded to the survey believe that the UK should keep its 48 hour opt-out provision from the Working Time Directive.
