Interim findings from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s Annual Reward Survey of over 500 private and public bodies suggest that a small minority of British companies checks systematically for inequalities between male and female pay.
This is despite the fact that equal pay claims have almost doubled - rising from 4,712 during 1999-2000 to 8,762 during 2001-2002.
